Ibanproll 10ml

ibanproll is a new product developed and dosed by Laboratorio RIPOLL obtained from Ibandronate Sodium, through an exclusive manufacturing process. Ibandronate belongs to the class of drugs called bisphosphonates, which are used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, acting as preventive of bone breakdown and increasing mineral density (BMD). Ibanproll INDICATIONS

ibanproll  is indicated for the treatment of lameness and musculoskeletal injuries in equines caused by bone disorders.

Osteitis of the third phalanx, sparring and navicular syndrome. Indicated in cases of repetitive or stubborn over-the-knee joints.

In some bone and even tendon injuries, the application of  ibanproll is very useful at the beginning of the rest or quiet period, since high-performance training can cause extra calcium expenditure accompanied by increased bone resorption, thus altering the natural balance of the remodelling process.

 

Ibanproll COMPOSITION

Each mL of ibanpoll solution contains 1 mg of Ibandronate Sodium

 

ADMINISTRATION AND DOSE

Administer 10 mL of ibanproll daily for 3 consecutive days (30 mL) for an adult equine, as the first treatment cycle.
Each 10 mL ampoule of ibanproll should be applied in 250 mL (or more) of physiological saline, by intravenous administration.
It is important that you supplement with Calcium and Vitamin D, from 3 or 4 days before starting the treatment until completing about 7-10 days of supplementation.

 

Ibanproll 10ml Injection Warnings

Do not inject  ibanproll  directly without diluting it, as this may cause phlebitis at the injection site. Supplement the animal with  calcium and vitamin D (calciferol)  before and during the administration of each cycle of  ibanproll.
Maintain a good level of hydration of the animal to be treated.
The decision on the number and frequency of treatment cycles should be indicated and supervised by the treating veterinarian. Deladine 100ml

 

PRECAUTIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS

Ibanproll  has been very well tolerated in the various clinical trials carried out.
Very occasionally, the administration of  ibanproll  may cause transient disorders such as lack of appetite, malaise, tremors, excessive sweating, diarrhea and colic or musculoskeletal pain. There is no experience of treatment in foals under 24 months of age.
Its use at this age should be evaluated by the treating veterinarian.

 

PRESENTATION

ibanproll is presented in packs containing 3 vials of 10 mL, sufficient for a treatment cycle of an adult equine.
