Lactanase 2X injection is a muscle performance & recovery injection used as an enzymic modulator designed to reduce lactic acid accumulation, helping delay muscle fatigue and support performance in horses and camels.

Indications And Benefits

Lactanase 50ml contains dichloroacetic acid, which is an activator of the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase.  This enzyme plays a central role in the process of lactic acid production during hard work and extensive exercise. Supplementing with dichloroacetic acid (DCA) results in activation of the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase, which leads to a reduction in the rate of lactic acid production and accumulation in muscles.

Elevated plasma lactate levels result in a reduction in pH which contributes to muscle fatigue and decreased muscle performance.  Supplementing with DCA has been shown to reduce lactic acid accumulation during exercise and also produce a significant delay in muscle fatigue.

Lactanase is indicated for use in reducing the incidence of Tying Up (muscle cramping) by limiting lactic acid build-up in muscle cells.

COMPOSITION:

Dichloroacetic acid 120mcg/ml,

Sodium gluconate 250mg/ml

Dosage And Adminstration

• Horses: 20–40 mL IV, diluted in 1 L saline or via catheter, once weekly for 4 weeks. Discontinue for 4 weeks before repeating

• Camels: 5 mL (small camels) or 10–15 mL (large camels), IV, diluted in 1 L saline or via catheter
